The first campaign took place at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Helwan University, focusing on autism awareness. The second was part of our medical convoy at Badr Hospital, where we raised awareness about DM. These initiatives reached over 500 members of the public, providing crucial information about autism, its early signs, and the importance of managing diabetes effectively.
Our commitment to health education and community engagement continues to drive our efforts, and we are proud to support these important causes in November.

Across the years and efforts of our predecessors, HMSA, a small LC learning to get up on its feet and now, 7 years later, we are starting to see the fruit of our hard work.
The effect of advocacy cannot be seen or felt overnight, tiny stepping stones, building upon what our peers have started, and passing that passion onto upcoming generations, is what is called continuity; the essence of advocacy.
This month we have achieved not one but two career and history defining milestones.
Female Genitalia Mutilation; an age old harmful practice, ment to that Egypt has been trying to fight for over 20 years, 60% of all FGM procedures are carried out by doctors and healthcare providers, realising that it is critical to discuss this with medical students, and ensure the doctors of our future are well informed about this harmful practice, HMSA, in collaboration with our medical school board was able to implement ANTI-FGM in our forensic curriculum.
Gender-based violence; in Egypt 1 in every 3 women experience a form of violence, an initiative by the UNFPA and the ministry of health to build safe women clinics to combat GBV was starting to be implemented, it was impossible for HMSA not prioritize implementing this clinic in our university hospital, and here we are 1 year later celebrating the opening of the safe women clinics in badr hospital!
Every single HMSA member from the very beginning to this term played a role, and it's the reason we’ll continue striving to reach greater heights.
