It is with immense pleasure and pride that we announce the momentous occasion of the launch of the Safe Women Clinics at Badr Hospital, Helwan University.
We extend our sincerest gratitude to the esteemed Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Helwan University, Dr.Rasha Refaie, for her invaluable efforts, support, guidance, and visionary leadership. In her opening remarks, Dr. Rasha acknowledged HMSA's pioneering role in inspiring the clinic and its advocacy efforts, particularly in addressing gender-based violence and establishing the groundbreaking Safe Women Clinic, which served as the catalyst for this remarkable accomplishment.
December 19, 2024, marked the realization of our collective vision. The Safe Women Clinic is specialized medical response units focusing on providing women and girls subjected to violence with comprehensive quality care and referral, that include psychological first-aid, medical services, information, case filing and referral inside the hospital and outside to the Women’s Complaints Office if legal and social services are needed free of charge.
The opening of the Safe Women Clinic stands as a shining exemplar of HMSA's commitment to promoting healthcare, empowerment, and community well-being.
