On October 2nd, 2024, HMSA held Orientation Day for new students. The event featured an HMSA 101 session introducing students to the association and its role. There were also six booths for students to visit, including five for different committees and one for our divisions. This setup helped new students meet current members, learn about each committee and division, and find ways to get involved. Overall, it was a great day that built a sense of community and excitement for the new students.

HMSA took pride in having four of its outstanding members in IFMSA-Egypt's pre-NGA 24-25, hosted by NMSA-Nahda.
During the Pre-NGA, they actively engaged in various sessions, connected with their relevant National Teams, bonded with medical students from all over Egypt, and represented HMSA with commitment and enthusiasm!
HMSA had the honor of attending the 1st National General Assembly (NGA), hosted by NMSA-Nahda, with a delegation of 29 enthusiastic members representing Helwan medical students at IFMSA-Egypt's General Assembly. During the assembly, our delegation actively participated in various Sessions and discussions, sharing insights and experiences that enriched the dialogue. This experience not only strengthened our community's voice within IFMSA-Egypt but also fostered valuable connections among medical students nationwide, reinforcing our commitment to collective growth and excellence in the field of medicine.
Also, for the first time we conducted HMSA at NGAs initiative to ensure full coverage of HMSA contributions and memories to NGAs using customized IG Frame

The Mentorship Program is the obligatory pre-membership education program, constituting a prerequisite for HMSA membership.
It is a dynamic and holistic initiative aimed at guiding HMSA-Helwan's new members through their journey of engagement. This year, the program is structured around the members' engagement cycle, encompassing mentoring, capacity-building, and guidance to empower new members to become active contributors to the development of our Association.
Additionally, it fosters self-awareness regarding their strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
We managed to conduct about 131 one-to-one interviews through the first wave, and 4 group interviews through the second wave with each group consisting of 40 new members and 2 mentors.
